MRI
SOS provides unique MRI scanning options at our Widewaters Parkway and Camillus locations.

Closed MRI - GE 1.5T High Field MR-A high field system in a comfortable design. This is a patient friendly scanner with a shorter magnet that is flared at the ends for greater openness and easy patient access.

Open MRI - GE .7T High Field Open MR- The most powerful Open MRI in Central New York - the shortest exam times and most detailed images! This scanner combines comfort and speed with high field performance. The spacious opening helps anxious or claustrophobic patients relax with adjustable lighting and music.

Images of the soft-tissue structures of the body-such as the heart, lungs, live, and other organs-are clearer and more detailed than with other imaging methods. At SOS we frequently use MRI to diagnosis those problems affecting the knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, and wrist. The images allow the physician to see very small tears and injuries to ligaments and muscles.

Radiology interpretations are provided by On-Site Board Certified Radiologists.

Nuclear Medicine
The SOS Nuclear Medicine Department provides Bone Scans for patients to assist in the diagnosis of various orthopedic conditions. If your doctor feels a bone scan is necessary, the procedure will be scheduled and explained to you in detail.

NY Pain Center - Located on the second floor of our 5719 Widewaters Pkwy office. The New York Pain Center provides Non Operative Spine Care, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Management and Electrodiagnostic Testing. Doctors’ Robert Tiso, Joseph Catania and Renee Davis and staff share a common goal of pain reduction and control.

Fitness Forum Physical Therapy & Aquatic Center - Among their six locations, one is located on the second floor of our 5719 Widewaters Pkwy. office and another is located next to our 4888 W. Taft Rd. office. Fitness Forum Physical Therapy & Aquatic Center provides Aquatic Therapy, Physical Therapy, Post-Surgical Rehabilitation, Back/Neck Rehabilitation, Sports/Work Rehabilitation, Hand Therapy, Functional Capacity Evaluations and Fitness Evals & Prescription.

Specialists One Day Surgery Center - We are pleased and proud to offer the latest in orthopedic technique by our board certified surgeons, using modern, state-of-the-art equipment. Our newly built one-day surgery center was designed and built specifically to serve orthopedic patients that do not require an overnight stay in the hospital, even though highly technical procedures and equipment are required.
