We are looking for a full-time and per diem registered nurse in the recovery room for our state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center Specialists One-Day Surgery Center in North Syracuse, NY.
Full time - Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Per diem employees must work a minimum of 10 hours per week, 4 hours of which must be on a Friday monthly (one Friday per month, either an opening shift or a closing shift)
Recovery Room RN Job Description:
· Acts as a prep nurse and recovery room nurse for patients undergoing orthopedic surgery
· IV insertion in preparation for the procedure
· Discharge teaching
· Maintains a safe environment for the patient
· Pre-op and post-op patient phone calls
· Works as a team player with procedural MD’s, LPN’s, radiation technologists, and other ancillary staff
· Safely utilizes variety of procedural equipment
· Other duties as assigned
Recovery Room RN Job Requirements
· Experience preferred, but not mandatory
· Current RN license required
· Current BLS certification required
· ACLS certification within one year
· Employee must be COVID vaccinated, per NYS regulation.
Pay Range: $31.00 - $42.00 / hour, depending on experience
