Patient Representative II

Monday – Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, varying shifts as needed

Job Responsibilities:

  • General reception to include greeting patients and answering phone
  • Check-in patients and verify appointment and billing information
  • Schedule appointments
  • Collect co-pays and co-insurance
  • New Patient Intake & Registration
    • Review paperwork for completeness
    • Input patient demographic information in computer system
    • Review benefits with patient
    • Review missed appointment policy with patient
    • Set-up FOTO Intake Survey
  • Check-out patients and schedule follow-up appointments per the clinician’s instructions
  • Assist Clinical staff with follow-up FOTO status surveys
  • Assist Central Billing Office (CBO) with Medical Records Request per Policy & Procedure
  • Monitor/Track Plans of Care (POC’s) for Certification (Physician Signature)
  • Log discharged patients in computer system
  • Scan documentation, prescriptions, protocols, flow sheets, HEP’s, and other information into the patient (electronic) medical records
  • Insurance verification
  • Obtain authorizations and re-authorization for PT services
    • Track authorizations via referral report
  • Track prescription expirations and request new prescriptions as needed (and directed by clinical staff)
  • Maintain Active Patient Lists and scheduled appointments (per prescribed frequency)
  • Post supply charges/payments
  • Payment posting and reconciliation
  • Perform daily balancing and prepare bank deposits for CBO
  • Navigate All Scripts (SOS Practice Management System) to monitor Tasking Grids, Work lists, and gather information essential for scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and patient care
