Kim Bailey, ATC, has been a practicing athletic trainer since 2000. Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science/Physical Education and Athletic Training from SUNY Brockport in 2000.

Kim started her career as an athletic trainer in a clinic/outreach position at Cayuga Medical Center. Kim’s primary role was serving as the athletic trainer for Ithaca City School District where she worked for 18 years. During her time at Cayuga Medical Center Kim served as the American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator for BLS, ACLS, and PALS. She also worked in the Physical Therapy clinic as a PT aid for 10 years. During that time Kim helped implement the Kid Fit childhood obesity program, cardiac rehabilitation as well as the Transition Program, transitioning physical therapy patients into an independent gym-based program. Kim also worked as a clinical preceptor for the Ithaca College Athletic Training program from 2001-2018. In 2010 Kim moved from her role in the physical therapy department to the new Sports Medicine office where she worked as a physician extender alongside primary care sports medicine physicians. Kim also worked as the Office Manager for Cayuga Medical Center Sports Medicine and Athletic Performance. In 2022, Kim moved from Ithaca to Syracuse and joined the SOS team as athletic trainer for Syracuse City School District. Kim works primarily with PSLA at Fowler and Corcoran high schools.

Kim is engaged to her partner Steve and has one adult daughter, Chelsea. Kim enjoys fitness, spending time outdoors cycling, hiking, and walking their 3 rescue dogs. Kim also enjoys cooking, baking and bread making and is now dabbling in Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.
