Associate Applications Systems Analyst

Work Week: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gathers requirements using interviews, documents analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Evaluates information gathered from multiples sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicates and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and deliver functional requirements.
  • Works with users to define concepts under direction of project managers and senior support staff.
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Occasionally, after-hours assistance is needed for software updates, server reboots, upgrades, etc.
  • Remote troubleshooting both inside and outside of regular business hours, when needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
  • Liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to express thoughts clearly to others at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills along with ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines in stressful situations.
  • Strong understanding of estimating, purchasing, accounting, productivity analysis, budget forecasting, and scheduling.

Education:

  • Must have expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Associate's degree or minimum of 1 year work experience.

Experience:

  • Related experience in a health care environment preferred.
  • Experience with configuration and use of and Electronic Health Record preferred.
  • Experience training staff on use of Electronic Health Record preferred.
