Patient Greeter

Full Time Position: 5719 Widewaters Pkwy

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:15 am to 3:45 pm

Patient Greeter Job Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills to all 
  • Notifies employees of non-patient visitors that have appointments.
  • Opening and unlocking office doors
  • Greet patients/visitors to the building and direct them to appropriate check in desk or office for SOS,
  • Physical Therapy, SOSPLUS, MRI, Medical Records
  • Follows proper pre-reg check in arrivals through Phreesia
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills verbally and in writing. 
  • Remains organized and calm throughout busy patient sessions 
  • Flags Research patients in Phreesia for iPad receipt at time of check in. 
  • Answers patient questions, Assists with no show call outs & alerts staff 
  • Wheelchair tracking (sign in/out) 
  • Updates Lobby Board with the day’s providers 
  • Greets and assists with patient arrivals for SOSPLUS 
  • Cross train on Front tasks/reports 
  • Monitors/communicates with transportation for proper pick-up locations. 

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of practice policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
  • Skill in customer service by pleasantly dealing with patients/visitors and effectively acting as a practice liaison.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of the practice’s front line service team.
  • Ability to respond to stressful/emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner
  • Ability to communicate and express thoughts clearly.  
  • Understanding  of Phreesia/PM/ Allscripts/HER

Work Environment:

  • The environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to rapidly accept change, handle multiple tasks, and set priorities. 
  • The employee is subject to inside/outside environmental conditions.
  • The environment may be subject to extreme cold in the winter months due to the greeter’s station being near a slider door and proper attire should be worn to increase warmth/comfort during this time.
