SOS Celebrates Employee Appreciation Week

Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists (SOS) recently celebrated Employee Appreciation Week to celebrate highlights and achievements and highlights of the past year. An annual event to recognize the hard work and contributions of employees, the week featured five days of fun activities, games and raffles, recognition events, and charity fundraisers.

“The surgeons at SOS are known in the community and rightly recognized for their specific talents,” said Mike Humphrey, CEO, SOS. “Each and every one of our employees also deserves recognition because it is only with the dedication of all staff can our medical providers treat our community with quality orthopedic care.”

In the past year, SOS had many reasons to celebrate:

• The practice cared for nearly 75,000 patients.
• SOS Orthopedic and Sports Therapy staff had 123,628 patient visits.
• Close to 20,000 local athletes were treated by SOS at their school events.
• SOS received a rating of 4.83/5 in an overall patient satisfaction.
• Two new physicians joined the practice. Podiatrist Dr. Zerah Ali strengthened the Foot & Ankle Team and Dr. Kyle Plante began working alongside SOS Sports Medicine to treat patients who also suffer from concussion.

In addition to serving patients in the region, SOS employees serve the entire community through volunteering and other charitable contributions. During the week some staff members supported OCRRAs’ Earth Day Clean Up, neighbors with Alzheimer’s and the United Way of CNY during National Volunteer Week which coincided with SOS’ Employee Appreciation Week.

SOS looks forward to inspiring one another and achieving more for the Central New York community in 2025.
