Mark A. Wolgin, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes exclusively in spine surgery as part of the SOS Neck & Back Team.

Before joining SOS, Dr. Wolgin practiced at Orthopaedic Associates in Albany, Georgia, where he focused on the comprehensive treatment of spinal conditions. His expertise includes managing complex neck and back disorders such as degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, and spinal instability.

Dr. Wolgin earned his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center. He went on to complete advanced fellowship training in spinal disorders at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His clinical approach emphasizes evidence-based care, patient education, and individualized treatment plans, utilizing both minimally invasive spine surgery and traditional surgical techniques.

Dr. Wolgin is dedicated to helping patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve overall quality of life through comprehensive, compassionate spine care.

With decades of practice in spinal disorders, pain management through spinal injections, and orthopedic care, he has a proven track record of diagnosing and managing a wide range of spinal pathologies. Prior to joining Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists, he practiced at Orthopaedic Associates in Albany, Georgia, where he also treated foot and ankle and general orthopedic conditions.
