Registered Nurse – Clinical Manager

Work Week: Full Time - Monday – Friday – 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM 
Location: Dewitt - Widewaters 5719 Widewaters Parkway Syracuse, NY 13214

Job Description

Responsible for providing professional nursing care for practice patients following established standards and practices. Assists physicians and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervision of RN’s, LPN’s and MA’s, including scheduling, managing time off requests and addressing any disciplinary issues, review and completion of timecards and performance evaluations.

Clinical Staff Leadership

  • Supervise and support clinical staff including medical assistants, nurses, and other clinical team members.

Patient Experience

  • Ensure a high level of patient service and satisfaction across all clinical interactions.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, clinical standards, and organizational policies

Communication & Collaboration

  • Serve as a liaison between providers, staff, and organizational leadership.

Triage

  • Speaks directly to patients to assess what is needed, determines the level of urgency.

Patient Care 

  • Provides nursing care to patients as ordered.
  • Performs nurse visits and administers treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing or related discipline or equivalent professional experience is required.

Experience

  • 2+ years of healthcare operations or clinical management experience, preferred.
  • Experience supervising clinical or administrative healthcare staff.
  • Experience in a multi-provider clinical environment, preferred.
  • Experience in orthopedics, preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of medical office operations and clinical workflows
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Strong problem-solving and operational improvement abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Travel as needed to other locations for training and to perform job functions.

  • Occasional lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to transfer patients and help patients with walking, dressing, etc.

Pay Range: $75,000 and up experience dependent
