MCL Injury

Forceful contact to the outside of the knee is the most common cause of an MCL injury. If you or a loved one experiences knee pain, an MCL injury is one of many possible causes of this knee pain.

MCL Injury Symptoms

Symptoms of an MCL injury may include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Knee pain
  • Tenderness affecting the knee
  • Stiffness in the knee
  • Knee swelling

Typically, patients experience the above symptoms of an MCL injury around the inner side of the knee. In some cases, knee pain may be severe.
